I received an email from an activist in Connecticut regarding the "Worst to First" Campaign: "...in the attempt to make the Worst To First Maternity care program national. The goal of our campaign is to meet with all statewide hospitals in attempt of challenging them to lower their cesarean rates, lowering the episiotomy rates, and offer alternative birthing positions besides the lithotomy position which we all know is less than ideal."
You can read more about the campaign on the website. It seems like this program pairs nicely with The Birth Survey's effort to increase transparency in maternity care.
